International Forum Guidelines – Online Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous

International Forum Guidelines

  1. Be Respectful

Love and tolerance is our code. All posts should be courteous and respectful. Personal attacks, hateful, racially or ethnically derogatory comments, and harassment against other participants in the community will not be tolerated. You can certainly disagree with another, but be respectful and keep your comments relevant to the topic of conversation.

  1. Avoid Nasty Language

Foul, obscene or sexually explicit language or other content that a reasonable person would find objectionable is not permitted. Any material which constitutes defamation, harassment, or abuse is prohibited.

  1. Don’t Spam

Advertisements, solicitations or promotions will not be allowed. These forums define spam as unsolicited advertisement for goods, services and/or other web sites, or posts with little, or completely unrelated content. Spamming also includes sending private messages to a large number of different users.  Do not ask for and do not post email addresses or phone numbers.

  1. Use Your Own Words

The distribution of intellectual property not belonging to you is not permitted. Another way of saying it: speak your mind, but use your own words to do so. Providing or asking for information on how to illegally obtain copyrighted materials is not permitted.

  1. Make Yourself at Home

Remember, this is your community. Don’t be shy to chime in and interact with the forum fellowship. Feel free to express yourself, ask questions and mix it up. One’s experience may help another’s. The answer to your question can be found, if you ask it.  Please refrain from posting the same question in several forums. There is normally one forum which is most suitable in which to post your question.

Enjoy the discussion!
